This song is about loving someone, then that someone leaves you. You're hurt. Then, you try to move on. It wasn't easy but you're close to forgetting that person, and suddenly he comes back. And you can't trust him back that fast because of all the trauma he has brought you.

Interpretation of Fleetwood Mac's song Landslide

Summary

The song is about being in confused in a relationship. You're blaming yourself for shaking your relationship. You're then realizing all the things you've done and didn't do in that relationship. And you're willing to change and fill up the holes to keep that relationship strong. Time made you want to hold on to that person, and made you realize all your shortcomings and fix them.

Interpretation of Lady Gaga's song Born This Way

Summary
The song is very straight forward with its meaning, compared to Lady Gaga's other songs which are embellished with a lot of metaphors. Love yourself. Have faith in yourself. Accept yourself because you were born that way. And you were born in God's likeness, therefore you are perfect.

Interpretation of Lady Gaga's Song Hair

Summary

Basically, this song is about finding who you really are and sticking to it. You can change your style, personality, image, appearance, spiritual and emotional until you find who you really are .And when you're sure of yourself, hold on to that and never let go. Fight to the death to keep yourself true to you. Never let other people's judgments get to you, because you are the only one who must decide for yourself.

Interpretation of My Chemical Romance's song "Teenagers"

Summary

The song is a song of a hurt persona. He has been maltreated as a teenager. He was called names, bullied, adults always say that there are things wrong about him and how his aspirations to be a famous rock star is impossible. But he didn't listen to them. He used all the pain they brought to him and used it to strive for his aspirations. And look at where he is now, he is very successful. And where are those people who treated him bad? They're living the shity life normal citizens live. :)

Interpretation of Katy Perry's song "Teenage Dream"

Summary

The song is a dream(a daydream) of a girl who wants to find a sensible man who'll respect her, accept her downs and love her ups. A man who loves her no matter how she looks. The man she'll introduce to her family. And she's picturing her crush(possibly a jock-like in the video) to be that one.

Truly the dream of every teenager.

Interpretion of Far East Movement's song "Like a G6"

I

"Poppin bottles in the ice, like a blizzard
When we drink we do it right gettin slizzard
Sippin sizzurp in my ride, like Three 6
Now I'm feelin so fly like a G6
Like a G6, Like a G6
Now I'm feelin so fly like a G6"

(Line 1) Popping bottles in the ice- shows an image of oppening bottles in an ice bucket

Like a blizzard- could mean that their drinks are as cold as a blizzard or that their drinks are so many that is figuratively raining with cold beverages....Or it could mean both...that they have a lot of very cold drinks...

(Line 2) They don't just drink casually, they drink to get intoxicated(Slizzard)

(Line 3) They're playing the song"Sippin' on syrup" from the band " Three six mafia"

(Line 4) [G6- is the Gulfstream Jet G650, the coolest and fastest civilian jet available]

They stating that they're as fly(cool) as a Jet.

II

"Gimme that Mo-Moet
Gimme that Cry-Crystal
Ladies love my style, at my table gettin wild
Get them bottles poppin, we get that drip and that drop
Now give me 2 more bottles cuz you know it don't stop"

(Line 1,2) [Crystal Meth- a type of methanpetamine drug.]

They want some drugs.

(Line 3) Shows an image of drunk girls dancing in his table.

(Line 4) [bottle poppin' is a ghetto explicit term for sexual intercourse,

We get that drip and that drop- they're licking each other off]

(Line 5)[ 2 bottles- his drink and his friend's]

III

"Sippin on, sippin on sizz, Ima ma-make it fizz
Girl i keep it gangsta, poppin bottles at the crib
This is how we live, every single night
Take that bottle to the head, and let me see you fly"

(Line 1) [Sizz- black tar heroin

fizz- to get high]

They'll be taking drugs and get high.

(Line 2) He's just being himself, and he's taking her to his home.

(Line 3) It's his lifestyle.

(Line 4) Drink all the contents in the bottle so he/she can get high as well.

IV

"Hell Yeaa
Drink it up, drink-drink it up,
When sober girls around me, they be actin like they drunk
They be actin like they drunk, actin-actin like they drunk
When sober girls around me actin-actin like they drunk"

Verse III shows how high he thinks of himself that girls wouldn't drink but would act all wild to impress him. But if he knows they're just pretending, why would he let them do those things? talk about ego huh!

V

"Its that 808 bump, make you put yo hands up
Make you put yo hands up, put yo, put yo hands up
(You can't Touch this)
Its that 808 bump, make you put yo hands up
Make you put yo hands up, put yo, put yo hands up
(You can't Touch this)
Hell Yeaaa, Make you put yo hands up, put yo put yo hands up
Hell Yeaaa, Make you put yo hands up, put yo put yo hands up"

They'll be flying to Hawaii. But why Hawaii? Because they blend right when their in Hawaii. Hawaii is a like a haven for Asians.

Summary

The song is about trying to look cool, act fly, and get all gangster even if they're Asians. [as an Archetype- we can say that they're Asians by their knowledge in planes, because most Aeronautic enthusiasts are Asians(too much discrimination on my part, sorry!)] They're dreaming of living a life of a wealthy hip hop artist(explains the drugs, the girls, being gangster, and wanting to fly to Hawaii.

Interpretation of Lady Gaga's song " Edge of Glory"

Summary

The song speaks to me of how it is to be a witness to the last moments in the life of the person you love the most. And she's not just a witness, she's a companion, and a lover.

Edge=End/border/limit

Glory=Life

Edge of Glory= Final moment in Life

Research:

"One of the songs on the album that is truly one of my favorites, it's called 'Edge of Glory' and it's kind of a sad story. Sorry to be a downer. But my grandpa died about five months ago, and my dad and I were going to say goodbye to him at the hospital, and I got out a big thing of agave tequila and my dad sat next to me at the piano and we started to doing shots back and forth, and I wrote 'Edge of Glory' on the piano and my dad and I cried. The song's about your last moment on Earth, the moment of truth, the edge of glory is that moment right before you leave the Earth. So that song can be played on the piano, but it's actually set to this giant, huge, techno rock, Springsteen-esque dance beat. I actually had Clarence Clemons from the E Street Band come in and play saxophone on it. It's fucking beautiful."

Interpretation of Katy Perry's song "Peacock"

Peacocking is a male move to dress up to drag attention from a mate, like when male peacocks look for female mates.

I

"I wanna see your peacock, cock, cock
Your peacock, cock
Your peacock, cock, cock
Your peacock ,cock"

Verse 1: [Peacock- a bird known for it's beautiful fan-like tail that it uses to find a mate/partner

cock-(cocky) a description for an overly confident person]

- This verse (for me) means that a she is invoking him to make a move on her, show her a bit of cockiness/confidence. Show her that you're interested in her.

II
"Word on the street
You got something to show me, me
Magical, colorful, Mr. Mystery
I'm intrigued for a peek
Heard it's fascinating"

(Line 1,2) She's heard that he's got a "thing" for her.

(Line 3) [magical. colorful- Love can't be described with words, in the further part of the song you'll see a lot of words that somehow (for her) describes the beauty of love

Mr. Mystery- he's being so mysterious about it and he ain't telling her anything

(Line 4,5) [intrigued for a peek- she wants him to make a move to show her that he's in to her/or she wants to know what it is to love because she's heard it's fascinating to be in love]

III
Come on, baby; let me see
What you hiding underneath
I want the jaw dropping, eye popping
Head turning, body shocking
I want my heart throbbing
Ground shaking, shoe stomping, amazing

(Line 3) Jaw dropping- thing that makes her speechless

eye popping- something she couldn't perceive to happen but happened

(Line 4) Head turning- she herself couldn't believe it that her head turns in disbelief

Body shocking- Her whole being was shocked.

(Line 5) She wants to know what it feels like to be in love with someone so strong ,that when you're near that person you suddenly get all nervous.

(Line 6)Ground Shaking- your whole world is shaken by hi presence

Shoe Stomping- and when he's passed, she'll regret that she didn't say a thing to him.

IV
"Are you brave enough to let me see your peacock?
Don't be a chicken
Boy, stop acting like a beeotch
I'mma peace out if you don't give me the payoff
Come on, baby; let me see
What you hidin' underneath"

(Line 1,2) She's asking him but more on pushing him to make a move on her.

(Line 3) Now, she's just plain angry at him for not making a move in her.

(Line 4) She's sort of black mailing him that she leave if he doesn't do what she wants.

(Line 5,6) Then she's pleading again.

V
"Are you brave enough to let me see your peacock?
What you waiting for?
It's time for you to show it off
Don't be a shy kind of guy
I bet it's beautiful
Come on, baby; let me see
What you hidin' underneath"

(Line 2,3) She's telling that this is the perfect time for him to tell her he loves her.

(Line 4,5) Stop being all shy/ stop hiding what you really feel for her, because she knows it's(Love/his feelings for her) is beautiful.

VI
"Skip the talk
Heard it all
Time to walk the walk
Break me off
If you're bad, show me who's the boss
Need some Goose to get loose
Come on; take a shot"

(Line 1,2) Stop justifying your shyness

(Line 3) It's time for him to do what he needs to do.

(Line 4,5) Break me off-shut me up

Show me who's the boss- impress me with your manliness/show me your superiority

(Line 6,7) [Goose-silly] Do you need a drink to release your silliness? If you do, then let's.

VII
"Oh my god
No exaggeration
Boy, all this time was worth the waiting
I just shed a tear
I am so unprepared
You got the finest architecture
And the rainbow-looking treasure's
Such a sight to see
And it's all for me"

(Line 1,2,3) She's very happy that he finally did it.

(Line 4,5) She almost cried, and as expected, she was shocked.

(Line 6) Its an Apostrophe. She's talking to Love, and telling that being in love is so beautiful.

(Line 7,8) Love is a treasure that made her life so colorful.

(Line 9) And she finally had it. She has finally fallen in love.

Summary

This is a song about a Girl fantasizing about his man of his dreams. She wants to know how it is to be head over heels over a man that she's wishing he'd appear to sweep her off her feet already. The song showed so much innocence with the way she described love as something so amazing as if she doesn't know the hurt that comes with love.

Watch it...

Interpretation of Cher's song "You haven't seen the Last of me"

I
"Feeling broken
Barely holding on
But there's just something so strong
Somewhere inside me
And I am down but I'll get up again
Don't count me out just yet"

(Line 1,2) She's feeling drowned with all the trials and problems that she's in to. And, she don't know if she can go on survive.
(Line 3, 4) She wants to give up but she just can't.
(Line 5,6) These lines gives an image of a boxer who got knocked down, got counted on , but got up and continued to fight. The person really believes in herself and that she could rise from the situation she is in.

II
"I've been brought down to my knees
And I've been pushed way past the point of breaking
But I can take it
I'll be back
Back on my feet
This is far from over
You haven't seen the last of me"

(Line 1) She's tired and couldn't stand, metaphor for being in a hopeless situation where she don't know where to find answers anymore.
(Line 2) She has suffered more than she can take.
(LIne 3-4) But she'll try to take more to survive.

III
"They can say that
I won't stay around
But I'm gonna stand my ground
You're not gonna stop me
You don't know me
You don't know who I am
Don't count me out so fast"

(Line 1,2) Everyone's looking down on her and telling her she can't make it.
(Line 3,4) But She's decided not to surrender.
(Line 5,6) People don't know what she's capable of.

IV
"There will be no fade out
This is not the end
I'm down now
But I'll be standing tall again
Times are hard but
I was built tough
I'm gonna show you all what I'm made of"

(Line 1,2)[ fade out- disappearing effect in songs and film] She's not giving up.
(Line 3,4) {means what it says}
(Line 5,6) Though life is hard, she knows she can take it.
(Line 7) She's gonna show everyone that she can survive all her trials.

Summary

This is a song about facing your trials in life and staying strong no matter what people say. No one will count you out in life ,but yourself. You are not a Loser if you don't say you are, so just fight because Life is about how not about how many times you fall but how you get back on your feet.

Interpretation of Katy Perry's song "Firework"

I

"Do you ever feel like a plastic bag,
drifting through the wind
wanting to start again?
Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin
like a house of cards,
one blow from caving in?"

(Line 4,5,6) Have you ever felt so weak inside that anything can make you fall apart.

6 feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing
Do you know that there's still a chance for you
'Cause there's a spark in you"

As you shoot across the sky"

(Line 1) You just have to release yourself from your inhibitions and lack of self esteem because you are this beautiful light

Interpretation of Adele's song "Rolling in the Deep"

Rolling in the Deep- Just when everything look swell in a relationship, a small crack (Broken trust) and then unobtrusively, everything goes down the drain.

I
"There's a fire starting in my heart
Reaching a fever pitch, it's bringing me out the dark
Finally I can see you crystal clear
Go 'head and sell me out and I'll lay your shit bare"

(Line 1) She's beginning to fall in love.
(L2) And as their relationship grows deeper, she's beginning to see his devious ways.
(L3) Now, she could see the real him.
(L4) Go ahead ,be unfaithful, and just leave me hanging, because I know all the bad things you've made.

II
"See how I leave with every piece of you
Don't underestimate the things that I will do"

(L1) She's ending the relationship, but she's going to tear him apart first.

III
"Baby I have no story to be told
But I've heard one of you
And I'm gonna make your head burn
Think of me in the depths of your despair
Making a home down there
It Reminds you of the home we shared"

(L1) She knows she did nothing bad, and she has nothing to hide.
(L2) But he! He has done a lot of things.
(L3)He'll be furious once he'd learn the things that she knew about him.
(L4) And when all his trash is out and he's reputation is broken, and he feels like he's in hell, he'll remember her, who brought him in to the situation.
(L5) The pain, misery and the damage will remain in him and will grow comfortable with him that he'll be hauled into deeper misery.
(L6) She compared their relationship with the state of emotion that he'll be. Their relationship brought pain, and misery to her.

IV
"The scars of your love remind me of us
They keep me thinking that we almost had it all
The scars of your love they leave me breathless
I can't help feeling"

(L1) The damages of their relationship still remains,
(L2) She knows that it could've been deeper because the scars were deep. The deeper emotions you gamble in a relationship, the deeper wounds you'll get when you lose.
(L3)She cries so hard whenever she reminisce their past.

V
" We could have had it all
Rolling in the deep
You had my heart inside of your hands
And you played it
To the beat"

(L1) Their relationship could've been IT.
(L2) But everything they had, went down the drain
(L3) when he chose to hold her heart
(L4) and crushed it.

VI
"Throw your soul through every open door
Count your blessings to find what you look for
Turned my sorrow into treasured gold
You pay me back in kind and reap just what you sown"

(L1) You give yourself to any girl who's willing
(L2) You'll see my significance when I'm gone.
(L3) I made this bad experience and thought the positivity in it, that I will never do the same mistakes again.
(L4) I will have my revenge and you shall get what you deserve.

Summary
It's a song about a relationship that could've been everything, but everything went down the drain, hence ,rolling in the deep, when infidelity came to the picture. It has a sense of anguish, and regret(Most of all).

Interpretation of Adele's song "Chasing Pavements"

I

"I've made up my mind
No need to think it over
If I'm wrong I ain't right
No need to look no further
This ain't lust
This is love but"

The Persona knows that she has found "the One", and that their relationship could be the reaal deal. but

II

"If I tell the world
I'll never say enough
Because it was not said to you
And that's exactly what I need to do
If I'm in love with you"

(Line 1,2,3)She has a lot to say, but words can never be enough if it doesn't reach him.

(Line 4,5) She has to tell him those things if she really loves him. Those things could probably be problems in their relationship that's being a burden for them.

III

"Should I give up
Or should I just keep chasing pavements
Even if it leads nowhere
Or would it be a waste
Even if I knew my place should I leave it there?
Should I give up
Or should I just keep chasing pavements
Even if it leads nowhere?"

[Chasing Pavements- it's walking a road with someone, you know you're with someone but then that someone disappears. And now you're left chasing pavements]

She knows that he doesn't love her that much yet, or that their relationship isn't deep enough to go where she wants their relationship to go. And she's confuse if she'll fool herself ,pretending that he'll love him enough ,one day.

III

"I'd build myself up
And fly around in circles
Wait then as my heart drops
And my back begins to tingle
Finally could this be it"

(Line 1,2) She'll join him in an everlasting journey,

(Line3) And when her heart grows weak from all the waiting,

(L4) And she gets old,

(L5) And He'll finally propose to her.

Summary

The Song is about going in a journey with someone, and you want it to go somewhere. But it's not, and you have a feeling that never going to get there. And finally, you ask yourself ; If you should let go(Mind is thinking, 1st), or should you walk through pavements because when you have walked enough you might get to him(heart is convincing the mind,2nd).

Beautiful song...

The song was inspired by an incident Adele had with a former boyfriend of six months. At 6:00 AM one morning, after learning he had cheated on her, she went to the bar he was at and punched him in the face.[3] After being thrown out, Adele ran down the street alone and thought to herself, "What is it you're chasing? You're chasing an empty pavement." She sang it into and recorded it on her mobile phone and arranged three chords when she got home.-Adele[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chasing_Pavements]

Interpretation of Adele's song "Turning Tables"

This song is a very emotional song by Adele that suites every person in the world who had felt what it is to love so much and get hurt.

I

"Close enough to start a war,
All that I have is on the floor,
God only knows what we're fighting for,
All that I say, you always say more"

(Line 1) They had a confrontation, and any moment someone could burst out in to emotions.
(L2) They are throwing their things out of anguish and every thing's on the floor OR this could mean that she had let go of her relationship and now it's on the floor.
(L3) They don't even remember what caused them to argue.
(L4) The man said a lot of promises but carried out a few.

II
"I can't keep up with your turning tables,
Under your thumb, I can't breathe,"

(L1) She's tired of him, always trying to get even or reversing situations and justifying his actions and trying to make HER the bad person.
(L2) She only mentioned the thumb because she really wants to be in his hand but his grip is just too much. She just wants him to change because it's killing her.

III
"So I won't let you close enough to hurt me,
No, I won't ask you, you to just desert me,
I cant give you, what you think you gave me,
It's time to say goodbye to turning tables,
To turning tables,"

(L1) But now she has had enough, and he wont allow him to hurt her anymore.
(L2) She wont go back with him, because it's just asking for him to hurt her again and to leave her crying again.
(L3) She can't give him love in return for all the pain he has caused her.
* He thinks he's not hurting her because he keeps on justifying his actions, hence, Turning tables.
(L4) And now she's leaving him and his foolish acts.

IV
"Under haunted skies I see, ooh.
where love is lost, your ghost is found.
I've lived a hundred storms to leave you.
As hard as you try, no I will never be knocked down."

(L1)Every night she still thinks of him.
(L2) And even though she doesn't love him anymore, he'll always have a place in her heart.
(L3) She had suffered/cried a lot to forget him/not love him anymore.
(L4) He can't court her back again, her decision is final.

V
"Next time I'll be braver,
I'll be my own savior,
When the thunder calls for me,
Next time I'll be braver,
I'll be my own savior,
Standing on my own two feet,"

(L1) The next time she gets in to a relationship she know what she'll do.
(L2) She wont be the damsel in distress waiting for a prince charming to save her. No, not anymore.
(L3) When trials come her way.
(L6) She'll do things on her own.

Summary
"Turning Tables" is a song about a break up. She's telling a story about her bad past with her boyfriend, and how she tries to empower herself to remind her her strengths and that she doesn't need a man to take care of her or either wise.

Interpretation of Lady Gaga's song "Judas"

Why would anyone love Judas? Who loves a traitor? Does this song really mean what it seems to mean?

Summary:

Reading between the Lines

A woman is madly in love with a man who is controlling, lying and betraying, that she blames herself for causing him to sin from her. Even if people around her is telling her to stay away from that person she still clings/hangs on to their relationship.

Reading beyond the Lines

A woman loves her ex because of the bad experience he has taught her. The mood of the song and the 2nd verse made me feel that she has had enough, and she admitted to herself her faults and she has learned from them.

An Argument by Lady Gaga as to why Judas should be loved:

"The Idea that Judas was the ultimate betrayer, well in fact, if that had never occurred the ultimate prophesy in life would have never been fulfilled."

Interpretation of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance

"Bad Romance" is a song by American recording artist Lady Gaga. It was released as the lead single from her third extended play (EP), and second major release The Fame Monster (2009). "

Summary

Reading BETWEEN the lines

The woman is deeply in love with a man who has issues, that she is very willing to accept all the deepest, and darkest thing in that man, just so that they will be together no matter how many people stand in their way.

Reading BEYOND the lines

The woman is in love with a man because of his indifference and all the deepest and darkest things he sees in his self. She doesn't just accept his wrongs, in fact, she loves him because of those features.
