Why would anyone love Judas? Who loves a traitor? Does this song really mean what it seems to mean?
Summary:
Reading between the Lines
A woman is madly in love with a man who is controlling, lying and betraying, that she blames herself for causing him to sin from her. Even if people around her is telling her to stay away from that person she still clings/hangs on to their relationship.
Reading beyond the Lines
A woman loves her ex because of the bad experience he has taught her. The mood of the song and the 2nd verse made me feel that she has had enough, and she admitted to herself her faults and she has learned from them.
An Argument by Lady Gaga as to why Judas should be loved:
"The Idea that Judas was the ultimate betrayer, well in fact, if that had never occurred the ultimate prophesy in life would have never been fulfilled."
