Interpretation of the Maroon 5's Song "Moves Like Jagger"

Summary

Moves Like Jagger = Not Dance Moves

Mick Jagger doesn't dance well, but he can pull some tricks with the girls. He can capture any woman even at his old age.

The song is about flirting and pulling the moves on women, making them believe that the relationship is about 'em girls, but they're just tricks/flings/trophies for these player guys.

(Verse I) Go where your heart leads you, as long as you are not stepping on anyone. If you feel like you're in love with me, then tell me. And she'll surely make him fall in love with her, and when that happens he'll swear he won't break her heart.

(Line 1,2) You wanted to be in control of the relationship(to be superior), so you waited for him to step down from his superiority ,and He waited for you to stop you foolishness in wanting to be in control.

(Line 3,4) He played with you and your games, now he's bare(unguarded/exposed figuratively)

(Line 5,6) You discovered how childish he acts and how egotistic/swaggering/boastful he is.

(Line 7,8) He doesn't care if you think of him that way.

(Line 1,2) He's trying to convince/trick her to kissing him. 

(Line 3,4) And when she does, she'll fall into his trap. He'll catch her heart, then he'll show her.

(Line 5,6,7) Moves like Jagger= Mick Jagger can't dance but he can catch any girl he wants even at what age

(Line 1,2,3,4) He's convincing her to ride with him and his car. He's telling her sweet stuffs and promising her that he'll do whatever she wants, they'll go wherever she wants.

(Line 5,6,7) And when she got in and tries to take charge, he'll do whatever it takes(shift gears) just to not let her control(steer) their relationship.
